On Wednesday 14th June we visited Lullingstone Castle and Gardens, set in 120 acres in Kent. Lullingstone Castle is one of the oldest of England's family estates dating back to Domesday times.
We were welcomed by Sarah Hart Dyke, the owner and given a guided tour of the house and church by a Blue Badge guide.
The highlight of the tour was the famous World Garden laid out in the shape of a map of the world and brings horticulture up to date with exotic plants from all over the world. Tom Hart Dyke, the creator of the garden, showed us over his creation.
We were lucky to have very good weather which made for an enjoyable day out.
